How to Get Up and Go in the Morning

Green smoothies are amazing for their health benefits and yet are so simple to make and prepare. This recipe is highly effective for energy, focus, and motivation to get things done. It will also revitalize your metabolism and digestive system. If you have been feeling blah lately, eating all the wrong things that are messing with your energy and health, and just need a kick in the pants to get going in the morning, then try this one out!

green smoothie

Ingredients:

-chopped kale greens

-handful of fresh parsley

-2 handfuls of frozen fruit (any kind, I’m currently adding frozen pineapple, mangoes, and strawberries)

-1 banana

-dash of almond milk

-handful of coconut flakes

-1 tbsp of raw honey

-1 scoop of protein powder (plant based is best, I use Warrior Food Extreme Chocolate Protein Powder

-2 tbsp of ground flaxseed

1. Mix kale greens, parsley, dash of almond milk, and coconut flakes in blender. I use Ninja Master Prep blender. It’s very affordable and does the job well enough but I will be looking to upgrade soon. Make sure greens are as ground up as possible.

2. Mix in banana, frozen fruit, and all other ingredients. Blend until smooth.

3. Pour and enjoy!

This is a whole meal replacement for me. It will help clean you out and give you an instant energy boost within minutes! It is best consumed after a morning workout. I highly recommend it. Feel free to share your favorite green smoothie recipes in the comments.
